Winchester Ammunition 62 Grain Open Tip Ammo Details

You'll see some incredible boosts in accuracy as well as fewer cleanings when you load up this ammo from Winchester into you Robinson Arms XCR, Tavor SAR-B16, or AR-15 style build. Each 5.56x45mm cartridge features a reloadable brass casing that has been heat-treated at the appropriate areas for strength and is equipped with a clean-igniting Boxer primer. The primer is triple-staked in its pocket and is accompanied by moisture-resistant sealant to ensure dependable function while preventing catastrophic stoppages.

Loaded at the top of the round is an Open Tip projectile with a copper jacket that covers its base and body, protecting the lead core inside from hot propellant gases; this arrangement cuts down on lead residue for improved shooter health and increased accuracy in between boresnake sessions. Open Tip construction also allows both the copper jacket and lead core to maintain proper dimensions and balance which translates to smaller groups on target. In addition, the projectile weighs in at 62 grains in order to match the ballistics of common M855 ammo while also presenting a longer body for greater rifling contact and improved stability in flight.
