Who needs a rifle when they’ve got a 12 Gauge shotgun loaded with Remington Slugger ammunition? Granted, this isn’t exactly the stuff you’ll need to clear long, beautiful 1,000-yard shots (unless you are some kind of wizard), but it’ll tackle any medium game within reasonable range!

This shell does its business with a 1-ounce lead rifled slug. That’s a rifled slug, mind you. It’s the one you want for a smoothbore shotgun – not a rifled one (contradictory though that may seem).

This slug’s rifling serves no purpose other than to allow it to squeeze through a choke tube. Upon exit, it packs a woofing-hot muzzle energy of 2,367 ft lbs. It’s no spitzer bullet, but the rifled slug is aerodynamic enough to haul 1,000 of energy all the way out to 95 yards.

These American-made shotshells are loaded with strong green (of course) plastic hulls, high-brass heads, and the muzzle velocity they need to hit 4-1/2 dram equivalent. A semi-automatic shotgun ought to have no problem moving ammo like that.
