The Gold Dot G2 is doubly equipped for clean barrier penetration. Its nose cavity is filled with pliant polymer, which keeps fabric debris and other particles from jamming the hollow point up. That ensures it will function correctly (i.e. commence terminal expansion) when the JHP actually enters soft tissue.

The G2’s polymer filling does not hinder expansion. It enhances it by compressing inside the pressure-formed lead core’s deep internal fissures, forcing them outward in a swift and extremely injurious display of pentagrammatic expansion.
