1000rds – 9mm Blazer Aluminum 115gr. FMJ Ammo

Blazer 115 Grain Full Metal Jacket (FMJ) Ammo Details

Why do these 9mm training loads have aluminum cases? Because aluminum is a whole heck of a lot cheaper to pull out of the earth’s crust than the copper which is needed to make brass! Blazer’s special heat-treatment process yields very strong aluminum cases, and the metal’s lower density also makes this case of ammo just a little bit lighter than usual. A great way to save money without compromising your experience at the range!

This round’s bullet is a little more conventional. At 115 grains it’s all set to rip out of a pistol barrel at a velocity of 1,145 fps – that delivers a flat trajectory, as well as one which is extremely similar to that of any 115 grain self-defense load. Blazer’s FMJ is nonmagnetic, and supports reliable functionality in any semi-auto firearm.

These cartridges are decked out with Berdan primers. They’re still non-corrosive, and will function as reliably as any other American-made round’s Boxer primer. The Berdan primer makes handloading much more complicated – which is precisely why Blazer chose it. They don’t want you to even attempt to reload these rounds’ cases, because Aluminum cannot be reused for handloading purposes.
