This 45 GAP cartridge features a 230 grain projectile, the most common for its caliber. The bullet’s full metal jacket is made of 90 percent copper and 10 percent zinc -- such an alloy has superior resistance to stress corrosion cracking, and as such strengthens the bullet throughout in order to assure it functions positively, penetrates targets reliably, and prevents fouling of the pistol’s bore. The round’s high quality and factory fresh brass casing is prepared for multiple reloading projects, and its large pistol primer is non-corrosive.
