Winchester Ammunition 55 Grain Full Metal Jacket (FMJ) Ammo Details

This ammo isn’t doing anything adventurous in terms of its performance. Its 55 grain FMJ bullet is the most popular solution for target shooting and plinking. Winchester’s FMJs have cannelures in their nonmagnetic jackets to prevent setback during ignition. That and the bullet’s sleek overall profile give this ammo consistent accuracy.

Winchester’s Boxer-primed brass always makes a worthwhile component at the reloading bench. These bulk rounds’ brass cases are annealed before they are loaded, a process which makes them more durable. The new cases’ annealing marks are only present because they were not buffed out at the factory.
