1000rds – 223 Rem Remington 55gr. FMJ Ammo

Remington Ammunition 55 Grain Full Metal Jacket (FMJ) Ammo Details

Great shooters aren’t made in Heaven. They’re made during hours and hours of practice at the range, which means you’ll need a decent rifle, a good set or ear plugs, and a whole lot of ammunition!

Here’s the 223 Rem ammo anyone needs to go from green to competent. Remington’s range loads feature 55 grain FMJ projectiles, just like what you’d find at our Army’s own gun ranges. The FMJ lacks any steel that could attract a magnet, and possesses a hard enough jacket to avoid deformation that could cause feeding jams or weak accuracy.

We don’t recommend non-expanding FMJs for home defense simply because there are so many better options on the market, although ammo like this is commonly stockpiled for emergencies because it’s still plenty effective in combat.

Remington’s own brass cases ought to weave in and out of your chamber with the utmost reliability, and their Kleanbore primers and smokeless propellant work in tandem to create consistent recoil, chamber pressure and muzzle velocity.
