1000rds – 223 Rem Red Army Standard 56gr. FMJBT Ammo

Red Army Standard 56 Grain Full Metal Jacket Boat Tail (FMJ-BT) Ammo Details

This 223 Rem cartridge by Red Army Standard has a 56 grain projectile. The bullet’s boat tail design means that it offers a superior ballistic coefficient, and accordingly great accuracy, a flat trajectory, increased resistance to the harmful effects of cross winds, and the ability to deliver great energy downrange. The bullet’s full metal jacket helps it to feed in a semi-automatic weapon, reduces overall bore fouling, and facilitates penetration through a wide variety of media.

This round owes its attractive price tag in large part to its steel casing. With its Berdan primer it’s not reloadable, but if you’ve no intention of reloading anyway then there’s little reason to pass up a deal this good. The round’s primer and neck are both sealed so as to prevent their corruption by moisture, and because the former is non-corrosive you can enjoy it without compromising your action’s and bore’s longevity.
