1000rds – 223 Rem Browning 55gr. FMJ Ammo
Browning 55 Grain Full Metal Jacket (FMJ) Ammo Details
Stoner, Henry, Remington, Parker, Colt, Garand, Glock, Kalashnikov – we have a lot of gunsmith heroes, and we’re sure we left some out of that list. But one name stands above all others, and that is John Moses Browning. The Saint of Semi-autos may not have anything to do with this particular 223 Rem ammo’s production, but we’re glad to see his name on it all the same! This is real bread and butter AR-15 ammo. It’s loaded with FMJ projectiles that deliver clean and accurate performance. At 55 grains and loaded to a muzzle velocity of 3,240 fps, this round’s bullet performs more or less identically to that of the the Army’s 5.56 M193 load. These bullets are going to fragment apart if they hit soft tissue at medium-to-close range, but they’re not going to expand by any definition of the word.
This is nonmagnetic ammo, but it’s still cost-effective enough for high-volume shooting and informal plinking. It’s also reloadable thanks to its non-corrosive Boxers and new brass cases. This ammo’s brass is not terribly photogenic, but to be sure it’s neither reloaded nor tarnished – just heat-treated!
