This 12 Gauge shotshell is loaded with 1 3/8 ounces of steel Hex Shot. Because Hex Shot is cubic, this shell is able to fit 15 percent more of it in its hull than it could traditional spherical shot. And because each pellet of it sports 12 edges, Hex Shot is able to inflict great trauma upon impact in conjunction with this shell’s zippy 1,400 fps muzzle velocity.This shell features a special diamond cut wad that is designed solely to complement such unique shot’s performance -- you can look forward to a pattern with an up to 25 percent wider kill zone thanks to it. Winchester anticipated that hunters would take this shell somewhere soggy, which is why they outfitted it with their Drylock Super Steel System that locks out moisture to keep its shot untarnished and its propellant potent.
