Hornady’s BLACK ammunition runs superbly through any black gun, whether it operates via gas piston or direct impingement and no matter its length or accessories. As such this 224 Valkyrie round’s select brass casing possesses extremely uniform dimensions, its primer is sensitive to an extreme degree, and its clean burning propellant delivers with consistency that you could set your watch to.

This round’s 75 grain projectile has been designed by its Nebraskan manufacturer to deliver superlative accuracy. Its weight and jacket’s concentricity are both highly controlled for, so much so that conventional equipment would have a hard time proving they’re anything less than perfect. Its hollow point meplat is all but immune to wind deflection, letting fly undeterred toward its target. Its boat tail design raises its ballistic coefficient to benefit its accuracy in a number of ways as well, including a flattened trajectory, superior resistance to wind drift, and greater velocity after having flown great distances.
