This .45 ACP (Auto) ammunition is produced by Italian manufacturer Fiocchi Munizioni. Founded in 1876 by Giulio Fiocchi, Fiocchi Munizioni is one of Europe’s largest and oldest ammo manufacturers. Combining the best of Italian style with the best of American innovation, Fiocchi has been manufacturing products for the US market in Ozark, Missouri since 1986. The Extrema line was developed by Fiocchi with the goal of producing the best possible pistol ammunition for hunting and self-defense.
Fiocchi chose to use Hornady’s famous XTP (eXtreme Terminal Performance) hollow points for this affordable and effective defense ammo. Each new production cartridge is loaded with a 200 grain XTP bullet. Hornady XTP projectiles ares specifically engineered to expand reliably at a wide range of velocities while delivering deep tissue penetration. The result is massive wound channels for fast and effective threat-stopping performance.
These non-corrosive, boxer primed loads are manufactured with high-quality components, including premium nickel-plated brass cases. Nickel-plated brass provides smooth and reliable feeding, function, and extraction in modern semi-automatics. These bright cases also make loading easier in low light defensive situations.
Each round produces a consistent muzzle velocity of 925 feet per second and a muzzle energy of 380 foot pounds. This ammunition comes packed in 25-round boxes, with 500 rounds per case.
