The great old American company’s Ranger line of ammunition is produced specifically for law enforcement officers, but they also make their 40 S&W ammo available to the civilian market from time to time!This cartridge is loaded with a 155 grain bullet. That’s a little light as far as the .40 cal is concerned, which translates to an accelerated muzzle velocity and flatter trajectory. In addition to reliable feeding, this JHP’s jacket is designed to promote highly consistent terminal expansion. You can reasonably penetration depth of 12 to 13 inches alongside expansion of up to 0.7” – even if the threat is wearing very thick clothing.
These rounds deliver even more reliable functionality in a semi-automatic courtesy of their consistent brass cases, non-corrosive Boxer primers and low-residue propellant charges. This ammo may not be loaded with Winchester’s acclaimed T-Series bullets, but it’s still great to have on hand for all your personal protection needs!
