Wolf Performance Ammunition (WPA) is American-owned and Russian-made for a great combination between low production costs and localized planning. These efforts allow Wolf to tailor their ammunition for dependable function in common U.S. firearms while passing own savings to the end users. Most WPA brand ammo is made at the Tula plant which is the Russia's oldest cartridge manufacturer. Their experience in mass production gives them insight into material selection as well as quality control which has served Eastern nations for over three centuries.
These .223 Remington rounds are assembled using non-reloadable steel casings, non-corrosive Berdan primers, and bi-metal hollow-point projectiles. The bullets weigh in at 55 grains and possess thinner jackets up top which cover their hollow cavities. Upon impact with a target, the projectile is designed to expand and fragment in order to deliver maximum energy and shock to vital zones. This not only humanely drops a game animal but prevents over-penetration which could cause inadvertent damage to others. 55 grains is quite common to the .223 caliber and matches the flight characteristics of the most popular practice ammunition.
