Fiocchi’s low recoil 12 Gauge ammunition is your best friend if you are attempting to (A) avoid discomfort as much as possible, and/or (B) lob follow-up shots as quickly and accurately as possible. Target shooting. Hunting. Home defense. They’re all excellent applications for such soft-bucking rifled slug ammunition!

This shell’s no milksop. Its 1,300 fps muzzle velocity produces whitetail-toppling kinetic energy at short range, and its effect on a human-sized target is nothing less than gargantuan. That being said, a 7/8 ounce slug is light for the 12 Gauge – but that’s the point. The featherweight slug creates less recoil than a 1 or 1-1/8 ounce alternative, so you’ll definitely feel less kick and notice less muzzle flip each time you unleash the thunder.

This shell’s projectile is a rifled slug: for smoothbore shotguns only. More interestingly, it is an Aero slug, which doesn’t detach from its wad after expulsion from the barrel. The wad stays attached, in which state it can continue stabilizing the projectile right up until it slams into its target.
