Produced by Guncrafter Industries, the 50GI is engineered to provide the maximum threat-stopping power out of any pistol platform. The company set out to create a practical 50 caliber 1911 with minimal additional weight or bulk. The plan was for the new platform to produce sufficient knockdown power while maintaining reliable control during rapid-fire follow-ups. This ammunition is designed from the ground up specifically for use in GI’s Model Number 1 pistol.

Each package contains 20 factory fresh rounds. These cartridges have strong, thick walls with approximately the same OAL as a standard .45 ACP round. Due to the larger caliber, the cartridge operates at relatively low pressure, providing a lengthened reloading life. Each cartridge is topped with an 85 grain all-copper hollow point projectile. These proprietary projectiles feature a deep hollow point cavity and four pre-scored petals. Upon target contact, these petals split, producing a full inch of expansion while the petals easily carve through soft tissue. Leaving the muzzle at a velocity of 1200 feet per second, these bullets leave a 5-inch wound channel, deliver eight inches of hydrostatic shock damage, and generate 600 foot pounds of kinetic energy. Use these loads for self-defense and personal protection applications.
