Great Lakes 300 Grain Hollow Point Ammo Details

Great Lakes Ammunition is a smaller manufacturing company in Michigan that started life in 2007 by making some of the most refined and trusted professional reloads on the market. Today, their new ammunition follows suit in quality by adhering to SAAMI specs and undergoing intense component inspection. As can be expected, these new .458 SOCOM hunting cartridges are built upon reloadable brass casings that have been tapered properly for safe chambering in uppers from POF, CMMG, and several other AR companies.

Each casing has a modern Boxer primer mounted in its pocket which provides dependable ignition with no harmful chemicals left behind in the barrel. The propellant in the case is measured to exacting weight tolerances while the top of the round houses an exquisite hollow point bullet from Hornady's Interlock line. Interlock bullets feature one-piece lead cores, fast-opening forward sections, and two independent measures of binding the copper jacket to its lead body in order to prevent separation. As a result, this 300-grain projectile will experience wide expansion during entry into a boar or deer which promotes rapid transfer of game-dropping energy to the deeper vital sections.
