Their Ballistic Silvertip series was designed to deliver devastating results on big game, and this .45-70 Government ammo is perfect for whitetails and other similarly sized game..

Each factory fresh cartridge is loaded with a 300 grain polymer tipped hollow point projectile. This ammunition gets its name from its unique silver polymer tip. This aerodynamic tip is designed to resist deformation, promote terminal expansion, and maximize long-range accuracy. Ballistic Silvertip projectiles also incorporate a boat tail profile that supports in-flight stability to enhance accuracy, especially at longer distances. Engineered with an alloyed lead core and a contoured copper jacket, Ballistic Silvertips provide impressive weight retention to deliver deep penetration and powerful terminal energy transfer.

Leaving the muzzle at a velocity of 1880 feet per second, each round generates 2354 foot pounds of muzzle energy. This ammunition is non-corrosive, boxer primed, and features high-quality nickel-plated brass cases for reliable feeding and extraction. Each package contains 20 rounds of WInchester Supreme Ballistic Silvertip .45-70 Government ammo.

Its softer shooting than the Hornady ammo I normally buy. Accurate, cycles well through my Henry, reliable, and zero fte/ftf.
