Federal Ammunition 100 Grain Soft-Point (SP) Ammo Details

These Soft Point loads from Federal's brand new line of hunting ammunition aim to give sportsmen and sportswomen a distinct advantage in the field. Each of these .243 Winchester rounds is armed with the Non-Typical Soft Point projectile which distinguishes itself from other bullets via its concentric copper jacket and low-drag ogive. These features result in a projectile of uniform quality that produces exceptional accuracy. At 100 grains, the projectile is heavy for its caliber and yields incredible terminal energy.

As the bullet enters a deer, it will begin expanding from the tip in a controlled manner that allows it to penetrate thick hide and bone while creating a large-diameter wound tunnel. By the time the projectile reaches more vital areas, it will have assumed a full mushroom-like shape which causes it to come to a halt while delivering massive shock to the heart, lungs, and nervous system. This results in a clean, humane drop with little chase time and minimal suffering. Each bullet is firmly secured within a reloadable brass casing that is fitted with a non-corrosive Boxer primer. Federal manufactures casings for the Non-Typical Whitetail line using a more precise drawing process in order to achieve consistent chambering and pressures.
