Hornady Ammunition 110 Grain V-MAX Ammo Details

This 300 AAC Blackout cartridge is from Hornady’s BLACK line of ammunition. That means it’ll offer reliable performance however your firearm works, whatever its length, and regardless of the bells and whistles you’ve attached to it. BLACK ammo delivers big in all cases.

This round’s a varmint killer. Its 110 grain V-MAX projectile has a super concentric AMP jacket, upon the rim of which sits a polymer tip that juts down into a hollow cavity formed within a swaged lead core. Upon impact the tip builds up great speed before driving inward to the core, exploding it and jacket alike. The uniform density of its core, concentricity of its jacket, and aerodynamic profile make the V-MAX an entirely accurate projectile as well, so it delivers the exactness as well as the terminal performance needed to make what was once varmint into varmint no more. Just gotta aim it.

These 200 rounds are packaged in a reusable plastic field box, so you’ll have little trouble keeping them clean in the inhospitable environments where varmints may roam. Their brass casings are reloadable several times, and their primers represent the best of what Hornady can achieve.

Just knocked over a dozen goats with the 110 vmax 300blk. At 75 to 100 mtrs shoulder shoots, every goat dropped instantly. Some large bullies amongst them. Was shooting beside a friend using a 270. The vmax dropped them quicker and dealer. Highly recommend this round for large goats or similar at that range

HAD A "LONGTIME RELOADER" FRIEND "Examining" the box. Said - had heard about BLACK but never shot any cause he ... well.. reloads all his 300... SO: never bought any. "HAD" reloaded this particular HORNADY bullet, tho. Was ABSOLUTELY FREAKED OUT at the velocity of this BLACK. Said "DAMM! They pushing this load out that fast?!! WOW. would NEVER load this HOT! Thats a HOT, HOT LOAD - only HORNADY could pull off, I guess. I'd never try to load it THIS HOT!" He was impressed. When I showed him virtual hole-in-hole at 75yds... was "doubly" impressed. Said "BUY ALL YA CAN! THATs A HOT BULLET - ESPECIALLY AT THOSE VELOCITIES!!"
