These lightweight hollow-point projectiles from Speer lend themselves to excellent personal defense load recipes in both .40 S&W and 10mm Auto. Each of these Gold Dot projectiles measures .400 inches in diameter and has been checked over for uniform dimensions and jacket thickness. Gold Dot bullets are manufactured using a unique bonding process which permanently secures copper plating to a lead core while carving out a deep hollow cavity which is bound to expand upon impact.

This design allows for wide expansion without separation which is intended to drive deep into a target without losing momentum until vital areas are reached. The bullet's jacket also encloses its base so that excess lead fouling won't hurt the reliability of your carry pistol. With 155 grains of weight, this projectile is ideal for handloaders who wish to craft light-recoiling loads as well as expert hobbyists who want to create flat-shooting, high-velocity cartridges.
