These low-recoiling .40 S&W rounds from PMC are an excellent choice for self-defense with appropriately chambered handguns and carbines. Each round utilizes a jacketed hollow-point (JHP) projectile with a wide mouth and skived cavity border which is designed to dependably expand on impact with a threat even at low velocities; this ensures optimum performance when fired from short-barreled pistols which are more likely to be carried. The 165 grain bullet is light for the caliber but is propelled by a lower pressure charge in order to match the muzzle velocities of heavier projectiles; this results in a manageable round that doesn't compromise on terminal performance.

During entry, this JHP's mushrooming expansion will slow the bullet and cause it to deposit its total energy into vital organs for a sure stop with little chance of an exit wound. Each bullet is loaded within a reloadable brass casing which is fitted with clean-burning Boxer primer. PMC ammunition is manufactured in South Korea using components which are sourced complete in-house. This production method has been trusted for decades to support the entirety of their nation's military munition supply as well as contributions to NATO allies.
