Corbon 80 Grain DPX Ammo Details
This 380 Auto cartridge by Corbon features an 80 grain DPX (Deep Penetrating X-panding) projectile. The bullet is made entirely of copper, so it greatly reduces bore fouling and hasn’t got lead which could run you afoul of California’s ammunition laws. Its monolithic composition makes this bullet especially hearty, so it parts with virtually none of its terminal performance for having passed through barriers such as auto glass, steel, or heavy clothing. Its absence of a jacket means that the DPX retains virtually all of its weight as it penetrates deeply within a target as well. The DPX possesses internal serration cuts, enabling it to expand to up to double its original diameter during penetration. As it penetrates, the DPX extends six cutting petals, any of which will thoroughly shut down the vital organ that it scrapes and shreds. Such deep penetration (confirmed to travel up to 18 inches through soft tissue) coupled with such catastrophic expansion means that your relatively small handgun can be of inestimable value during a self-defense situation -- these rounds are a perfect investment in your all-important personal safety.
