Hornady Ammunition 140 Grain ELD Match Ammo Details

Hornady’s Match line of ammunition is for when you want to see how far you can shoot, or when you want to show competition judges how far you can shoot.

This 6.5mm Creedmoor cartridge is crowned with the 140 grain ELD Match projectile. Several features help this ELD Match keep a bigger portion of its 2,710 fps muzzle velocity far downrange: a Heat Shield tip, which retains its symmetry even after it’s baked by aerodynamic heating; a secant ogive profile and boat tail, which reduce drag in flight; and an AMP jacket that is drawn to precise tolerances for near perfect concentricity. The ELD Match thus stays above Mach 2 until it is 360 yards out, and supersonic past 1,500.

This needle threader of a bullet is paired up with a specially selected brass shell casing, powder measured to create the optimal chamber pressure for a 6.5mm Creedmoor, and a match grade primer. All 80 rounds come in a reusable polymer field box for protection until they’re ready for surgical striking.
