12 Gauge Door Breaching Ammo
Each of these 9 rounds of 12 gauge ammunition is loaded with a special 325 grain frangible projectile. Comprised of compressed powdered copper and tin, these loads were developed for use as door breaching ammo, providing law enforcement an alternative to the traditional battering ram.
A highly effective method for removing those locks and door hinges constructed of up to 16 gauge steel. Upon striking a hard surface, these shotgun slugs turn to copper dust, minimizing penetration and limiting collateral damage on the other side of the door.
These 2 ¾ inch loads perform best in shotguns with improved cylinder, skeet or cylinder bore chokes. Designed by A.L.S. Technologies, the leading producer of tactical 12 Gauge Ammo, this ammunition is designed to be "less than lethal". However, caution should be used when firing these rounds. Close proximity to the shotgun barrel increases injury risk.
