600rds – 380 Auto Remington UMC 88gr. JHP Ammo

600rds – 380 Auto Remington UMC 88gr. JHP Ammo Details

Some people call it 380 ACP. Some people call it 380 Auto. The ones who are really trying to save time just call it 380. But do you know what we call this ammo by Remington? A great solution to target practice and self-defense.

This round’s 88 grain bullet and 990 fps muzzle velocity spell out approximately 190 ft lbs of close-range striking energy. Not what we’d endorse for grizzly bear, but more than capable of neutralizing conventionally sized threats. The simple jacketed hollow point would serve you splendidly if you’re only looking for something that will punch a hole through paper. The JHP is also engineered to expand upon entering a soft medium – a little extra contribution toward the 380’s stopping power.

“UMC” stands for Union Metallic Cartridge Co. It’s an obsolete company Remington once merged with. It is a brand name, which doesn’t have any bearing on the ammo’s actual performance. These metallic cartridges are rigged out with new brass cases; smooth operating and good for handloading.
