Do you want true long-range stopping power the next time you haul your 410 Bore shotgun out into turkey country? Then it’s time to leave the lead behind, and embrace the magnificence of Tungsten Super Shot (TSS)!

Lead has a density of around 11 g/cc. That’s pretty good, but it’s dwarfed by the 18 g/cc density of lead-free TSS. Because it packs so much more mass into the same amount of space, a #9 TSS pellet weighs roughy as much as a piece of #6 lead – and strikes with approximately the same amount of energy at the same velocity.

Had you chosen a 13/16 ounce #6 lead load, you would fire off just over 180 pellets with each shot. That’s pretty good … but it’s nothing compared to the nearly 300 pellets you’ll release on your gobbler when you open up a Hevi-18.

This shell’s TSS is hard and buffered: both reasons why you can trust it to pattern extremely efficiently, even over farther distances than you’re accustomed to covering while you’re turkey hunting. Hevi’s spherical buffering is locked in place by a special resin, which also safeguards the crimp against damage while you’re banging around in the bush.
