This 20 Gauge shotshell by Federal is loaded with one and a half ounces of #9 shot. Because its shot is smaller than that typically used for turkey hunting, this shell is able to pack substantially more pellets in its hull. It’s certainly not wanting for power, however -- Heavyweight TSS shot is made of a special tungsten alloy that’s 56 percent more dense than traditional lead, so it’s able to maintain a staggering amount of its velocity over greater distances and deliver absolutely crushing energy on impact. The toms won’t stand a chance.



This shell further sports a rear-braking FliteControl Flex wad, which is full-length to keep your shotgun’s bore from getting scratched up by the hard shot, and also delivers a consistent pattern through either a standard or ported turkey choke tube. Your bore will be further protected by this shell’s buffering, which is held fast in place by both a clear card wad and a tight roll crimp.
