The tungsten alloy that Federal’s Heavyweight TSS #9 shot is made of is not only 56 percent denser than traditional lead shot, but 22 percent denser than pure tungsten itself. That means this 12 gauge shot shell delivers absolutely stellar energy on impact, and is able to maintain much of its velocity over great distances as well. When you’re in pursuit of rugged and suspicious turkeys, that power and range is really going to come in handy.Such hard shot might have posed a hazard to your bore without this shell’s FliteControl Flex wad, which is full-length to protect your shotgun from harm. The high tech wad also reliably delivers a tight and consistent pattern with every shot whether you’re using a standard or ported turkey choke tube. This shell further features a clear card wad and roll crimp which keep its advanced buffering material securely in place. This stuff is unbelieveable!! Took two Toms last year both between 40-50 yards. Dropped them both in their tracks.
