Military Surplus 146 Grain Full Metal Jacket (FMJ) Ammo Details
This surplus 7.62x51mm NATO ammunition has resurfaced at the perfect time to feed your CETMEs, Mossberg MVPs, and Kel-Tec RFBs. This ammo was originally made in Malaysia in the 1980s and closely follows M80 specifications; this includes the use of primer sealant around the border of triple-staked Berdan primers for maximum longevity. The primers are installed at the base of brass casings that have been heat treated for proper flexibility and chamber seal at the neck and shoulder; this contributes to consistent muzzle velocities. Each cartridge is finished using a 146-grain FMJ projectile. The shape of the bullet is quite aerodynamic and will also feed smoothly up classic and modern feed ramps. The bullet's jacket is made from a bi-metal material which may attract a magnet and be prohibited at indoor ranges. The 540-round bulk pack of ammunition is contained within a military standard .50 caliber ammo can for better storage life and easy transportation. Each OD green can features a folding carry handle, weatherproof lid gasket, clamping closure, and specific molding for vertical stacking.

I bought two cans of Malaysian .308 and fired all 1080 rounds through my M1A1, no issues at all. This stuff was accurate per my marksmanship out to 300 yards with iron sights.

I ordered 300 rounds of this ammo for my AR10. The ammo can was tough to get open and required tools. Not all of the ammo was in boxes, much of it was loose. Only a few rounds would cycle my AR10, most jammed or failed to fire. The rounds would fire if I loaded them without a magazine, and they grouped well at zero range (30 yards). It seemed to be clean, and I had no issues with the casing coming apart, but I only fired about 25 rounds of this ammunition. I plan to use it a bolt action .308 I have. I DO NOT recommend this ammo for an AR type rifle

Beware of this ammo! Would only recommend this if you have an old bolt action rifle that you don’t care about.
I bought 900 rounds of it from a different site and almost messed up a new rock river lar8 not to mention the most frustrating range day! Multiple failure to feed, fail to eject, dirtiest ammo I’ve ever encountered. The fail to eject was due to the brass is so brittle it was just tearing the rim off and having to beat the brass out of the barrel.
The failure to feed was due to the bullet crimp being so loose that it was actually pushing the bullet back into the case.
Going to have to buy me a cheep bolt gun to at least shoot the remaining 600 rounds I have left from the 2 most frustating range days. If you do shoot in an ar type rifle, be sure to take a rubber mallet to get the bolt open when it jams!
