50rds – 9mm Magtech Subsonic 147gr. FMC Flat Point Ammo Details

These heavyweight 9mm Luger rounds from Magtech are great for practice shooting and plinking when using a suppressor. Each cartridge is built using a reloadable brass casing fitted with a clean-igniting Boxer primer and topped by a full metal case (FMC) projectile with a flat point. FMCs are mostly identical to FMJs while these particular rounds with flat points create clean holes in targets for simple scoring and group measurement. In addition, the flat point up front means that the bullet is longer overall and will have increased contact with the rifling of the barrel; this improves stability and tightens groups downrange.

At 147 grains, these bullets are loaded so as to exit the muzzle at 990 feet-per-second on average which is less than the speed of sound. That way shooters who are fond of silencers need not worry about the supersonic crack normally associated with cheap practice ammo. This load profile also produces recoil similar to that of standard pressure defense choices in the 9x19mm caliber for a high fidelity training experience. Magtech is Brazilian manufacturer which has been in business since the late the 1920s. Their ammunition has an excellent reputation for quality and is sworn on by many champion-level competitive shooters in the United States.
