50rds – 44 Special Magtech 240gr. FMJ Ammo Details

This 44 Special cartridge from Magtech is a great choice for training, plinking, and target shooting for a number of reasons. Its 240 grain projectile has a full metal jacket, so it’ll spare your revolver’s bore from needlessly accumulating lead residue. The bullet’s flat nose profile will punch clean holes through paper targets, removing ambiguity from the scoring process and giving you positive feedback on your performance. This is a low recoil round, so you’ll be able to fire faster follow up shots with it and save your wrists some stress at the same time. Finally, its subsonic muzzle velocity will let you enjoy a lower profile shooting experience while you’re practicing outside.

This cartridge offers Magtech’s own factory fresh brass casing, which has a Boxer primer pocket and is just what you want for handloading. Its non-corrosive primer can be counted on to deliver sure-fire ignition, and its powder burns exceptionally clean in order to preserve your weapon’s bore.

Just put a box through my S&W 1854. I purchased the ammo to compare 44 special to 44 mag with the suppressor on.

It didn’t feed the greatest but it was noticeably quieter. I’m not taking a bunch of stars off because the rifle isn’t specifically designed for this round. So malfunctions are to be expected. Also, the rifle isn’t completely broken in so it might be me.

Otherwise the rounds were consistent. Low recoil, made holes in paper, FMJ

Side note: my boxes were marked “44 sw spl low recoil” The upc code matches what’s listed above, so I have the right product.
