Federal Premium’s American-made Champion Training ammunition is intended for high-volume shooters. This isn’t some kind of high-flown match-grade ammunition, or something you’re supposed to choose for defense. It’s made for putting holes through bullseyes, plain and simple.

This cartridge’s chief cost-reducing feature is its bullet’s jacket. The FMJ’s copper exterior is plated to its lead core (as opposed to created via the conventional cup-and-draw method). Plated jackets aren’t compatible with ported barrels/compensators, which does limit which firearms you can safely fire this ammo in. So long as you can get past drawback, you’ll find this ammo’s consistent (and nonmagnetic) 95 grain full metal jackets, factory-new brass cases, and reliable primers of great help while you’re pouring your 380 pistol into your target.
