Please make sure you understand the following before ordering this ammunition: (1) it is certain not to cycle a standard AR-15 gas system; (2) the manufacturer recommends it for bolt-action rifles, as well as AR-15s with suppressor-optimized upper receivers; and (C) a 77 grain projectile is best stabilized by 1:7” or 1:8” barrel twist, which is standard for most modern AR-15 barrels.

Sorry for the long disclaimer! We just want to make real sure you fully enjoy this 223 Rem ammo, because it is very special 223 Rem ammo. It’s bona fide subsonic, with a muzzle velocity around 75 fps lower than the speed of sound. That means its report is noticeably quieter than usual: under 125 decibels when the rifle has a suppressor! You’ll really keep things subtle while you’re riddling bullseyes.

You won’t be riddling them over very long distances, though. Despite being loaded with a heavy, high-momentum, and highly ballistically efficient 77 grain hollow point boat tail (a bullet designed for accuracy and not terminal expansion), this round’s muzzle velocity is just too anemic to make it useful at ranges beyond 100 yards.
