Red Army Standard is not actually Russian army surplus. It is manufactured in Russia by Tula, and imported to the USA by Century International Arms of Florida. As such this 7.62x54r ammunition’s Berdan primers are completely noncorrosive and will not rust up your favorite Mosin-Nagant.

This ammunition’s cases and bullets will both attract a magnet. Steel cases are more affordable than brass, yet they make reloading virtually impossible. This ammo’s 148 grain full metal jacket bullets have conventional lead cores, but their bi-metal jackets are nearly 100 percent steel. That’s not a problem if you’re just pegging targets at home, but many commercial ranges prohibit projectiles that can attract a magnet. Plan accordingly!
