PMC Ammunition 240 Grain Truncated Cone Soft Point Ammo Details

This 44 Magnum cartridge hails from PMC in South Korea, whose Bronze label provides reliable ballistic and terminal performance. Its primer and propellant are engineered to deliver a consistent 1,497 fps muzzle velocity. Even at 100 yards its 240 grain bullet packs nearly 800 ft lbs of force, which is still beyond sufficient to neutralize any conceivable threat of the human-size variety.

This round’s bullet is a TCSP. The TC refers to its truncated cone profile, with sloping sides that make it easy for you to feed into a revolver as well as for a semi-auto to feed it into its own chamber. The SP refers to its soft point, where its core is exposed so it can let loose significant deformation during penetration. As the result this bullet transfers an even greater share of its energy as it creates a gaping wound channel.

PMC’s brand new brass casing is strong, supple, and excellent for reloading. These rounds’ sensitive primers are non-corrosive to prevent needless rusting, and their propellant is similarly clean burning.
