These classic .38 Special rounds from Remington are a great addition to any shooter's self-defense stash for revolvers and lever-action rifles chambered in .38 Special or .357 Magnum. Golden Saber ammunition is designed from the ground up for "social" work with premium features like nickel-plated brass casings which resist corrosion while providing smooth extraction from the cylinder. Each cartridge also features a clean-igniting Boxer primer and one of Remington's proprietary Golden Saber Jacketed Hollow-Point (JHP) projectiles.

The Golden Saber JHP design incorporates a wide mouth cavity surrounded by spiraling serrations cut into brass jacket; the brass material is harder than the typical copper jacket and controls the rate of expansion on impact for deeper penetration. This construction combined with the spiral serrations results in wider petals and more effective cavitation in a threat. The projectiles weigh 125 grains which is lighter for the caliber and works with the +P powder charge to produce startling velocity and a fairly flat trajectory.
