22 Long Rifle

The 22 Long Rifle (aka 22 LR) is the most popular cartridge in the world. Its low cost, low report and low recoil all make the rimfire round fun to fire for shooters of all ages. Choose a solid point (aka round nose) bullet for target practice, or a hollow point for varmint hunting. A copper-plated bullet helps to decelerate barrel fouling. Standard bullet weight for 22 LR is 40 grains; lighter loads usually deliver higher velocity. Subsonic 22 LR (i.e. with a muzzle velocity less than 1,125 fps) is usually more accurate.

    Ammo has been great. However, you should show -1.5 inches for the muzzle bullet drop so folks get consistent bullet drop values at other ranges. -1.5 inches is typical for scope optics and that is what produces the what is shown for your other ranges. Iron sights are significantly less. My Browning BL22 with a Skinner peep sight is -0.625 inches at the muzzle. So my bullet drop at 100 yards is -3.5 inches and NOT -3.2 inches using a 75 yard zero.
