Hornady’s Frontier 223 Rem ammunition is designed to turn any rifle into a precision instrument capable of punching cloverleafs at any practical range!This cartridge is loaded with its manufacturer’s own 68 grain boat tail hollow point Match projectile. It possesses superior balance by virtue of its concentric Advanced Manufacturing Process jacket and swaged lead core. The BTHP Match’s smooth secant ogive profile reduces in-flight drag to promote the flattest possible trajectory,, and its boat tail only does more to help the bullet retain more of the momentum it needs to fly flat. Everything adds up to a 0.355 G1 BC (assuming you have a 24” barrel; 1:8” twist recommended).
This 223 Rem ammo features military grade brass, primers and powder because it was loaded at the government’s own Lake City Army Ammunition Plant. You will notice that the cases are dark around their shoulders. That is only because Lake City doesn’t polish their brass after heat-treating it for added durability.
