These Match-grade projectiles from Sierra measure .308 inches in diameter and are appropriate for loading a nice variety of calibers including .308 Winchester, .300 Savage, and .300 Remington Ultra-Mag. As per MatchKing design these bullets follow a HPBT profile meaning that they possess an elongated boat-tail rear for drag resistance and precisely shaped hollow-point nose through which lead wire was spun; this method of core construction reduces the chance for air gaps and inconsistencies that could disrupt accurate density and weight. Since the hollow-point and smooth ogive are not designed for expansion, Sierra recommends that MatchKing rounds not be used for hunting purposes.
Each of these component bullets weighs in at 155 grains which is a medium weight for most calibers and works well for light-recoiling, flat-shooting recipes.
