40rds – 22 LR Federal American Eagle 38gr. CPHP Ammo

Federal Ammunition 38 Grain Copper-Plated Hollow-Point (CPHP) Ammo Details

In the summer of 1999 my dad put his own addition on our home’s preexisting deck. He was no carpenter, but the result looked real good and fit a gas grill. For whatever reason the chipmunks took it upon themselves at that point to colonize under the deck. Of course this meant that the German Shepherd started digging at the posts, too. This could not stand, so I was stationed at the edge of the lawn with the bolt action to try to solve the problem. You can imagine I felt very important.

Did I use this ammo to save the family deck from certain destruction? I have no idea. Boasting that this 22 LR round by Federal is capable of taking down a chipmunk wouldn’t really be a testament to its quality, anyway. But if you’ve got unsavory critters threatening you with property damage, you couldn’t do much better. This round has got a 38 grain projectile, plated with copper to protect your bore and hollow point to provide the terminal effect you need to ground garden pecking crows, stymie trash-burglarizing racoons, or, when the need arises, end chipmunks’ nefarious plans for destruction as well.

Federal makes a fine product at every price point, so for just a few bucks these American Eagle rounds are going to satisfy.
