These median-weight 7.62x51mm cartridges are perfect for plinking, practice, and tactical classes with a PTR-91, SCAR-17s, or any other rifle in the caliber. This ammunition was manufactured in the Malaysia during the 1970s and still has every bit of performance as the day it was made due to careful storage and great choice in components. Each round consists a non-caustic Berdan primer staked into the base of a heat-treated brass casing with an accompaniment of moisture-blocking, reliability-saving sealant. The cartridge profile is capped off with a 146-grain full metal jacket bullet which feeds reliably and flies in the same trajectory as numerous combat and hunting loads for consistent sight adjustments.This inexpensive 300-round pack of this ammo comes in a military-style ammo can which matches the dimensional standard of .30 caliber steel cans. The protective box features a secure latch and folding carry handle for trouble-free transport as well as a rubber lid gasket which protects the ammunition from excess humidity. Furthermore, multiple cans have the capability for stable vertical stacking which will create a smaller footprint in your storage room. Each steel ammo can contains seven 40-round boxes and one single 20-round box for a perfectly snug 300 rounds total.

Bought two cans from another website one was hard to open the other not. My Zastava .308 AK has zero issues with this ammunition

The ammo cans need a little help to be opened. Once the seal was broke, the cans opened and closed just fine. The brass was dated 11-79 and it was in good shape. A little discoloration, but nothing that affected feeding or firing. Shoots well. Used it on a two day fighting rifle course and didn't have any issues with it in my M1A rifle. Fired about 500 rounds per day and didn't clean the rifle till the end. Don't feel it was any more dirty then other military surplus or factory loads I've fired over the years.

It did take a hammer or a crow bar to open the first time because of the tight seal. After initial opening the "can" opened normally.
There was no corrosion at all, just bright military ammo. Though do not think your local indoor shooting range will let you use it. It IS loaded with steel ball, and is magnetic. I will test it thoroughly before ripping off rapid fire however, but slow fire so far has had no problem. Works well with a bolt action, and with my M1A's as well my three AR's . But have only done slow fire. I wonder if the negative reviewer was discouraging competition for the ammo... :-) -

Absolute junk. It took a hammer and pry bar to open the can, not a good sign. The ammo I received was severely corroded and unusable. Clearly, this surplus ammo has not been inspected.
