These authoritative 12 Gauge shotshells are loaded with 00 buck – nine 1/3” diameter lead balls, to be precise, which are favored by deer hunters and law enforcement professionals for both of their respective purposes. These double-aught pellets are hard. They won’t flatten down significantly as they’re instantly propelled to a velocity of 1,350 fps, just like they won’t deform too much to penetrate deeply into their target.

This shotshell’s barrage of double-aught is pushed down the barrel by a plastic wad.
