This magazine isn’t a knockoff of the real deal. It is a bona fide Ruger factory BX-1 mag, which is the very same rotary mag a new 10/22 comes packaged with. Ruger constructs the mag’s body out of black polymer, with rigid steel feed lips to ensure a solid lock and smooth feeding. Its spring is made of hardwearing steel as well.

Ruger explicitly specifies the BX-1 magazine for the 10/22, SR-22, 22 Charger, American Rimfire Rifle, and 77/22 (note: this magazine’s contoured base does not match the profile of the 77/22’s underside, but it still works).
