280rds – 7.62x51mm Ethiopian Military Surplus 145gr. FMJ Ammo in 30 Cal Ammo Can

Military Surplus 145 Grain Full Metal Jacket (FMJ) Ammo Details

This 7.62x51mm NATO Ball cartridge hails from Ethiopia, where it was manufactured for their military for use in imported American M14 rifles. The round dons a 145 grain full metal jacket projectile, so you can count on it to keep your bore clean in order to preserve your rifle’s accuracy.

This cartridge sports a brass casing and a corrosive Berdan primer. In spite of having been produced in the 70s or 80s, this ammo is still in excellent condition for having sat in its own steel 30 Cal ammo can during all that time. The can is sturdy enough to weather the worst conditions that Ethiopia’s climate could throw your way, and accordingly will give you great value should you use it in your backwoods as well.

We’ve only been able to import this ammunition in limited quantities -- once it’s gone it’s gone for good, unless you could somehow persuade Ethiopia’s military to produce more ammunition 40 years ago. You’ll find that this ammo works very well in your own M14 or your 308 Win firearm as well!

The ammunition is great. It shoots well and is very nice quality. I have to give four stars instead of five due to the fact that recovered brass from this product cannot be reloaded. There is no way to remove the pin.
