This shell features Federal’s FliteControl Flex wad. The stiff one-piece tube sticks out flaps around its base during ignition, which (A) create an efficient gas seal against the bore, (B) stabilize the wad in flight like the feathers of a shuttlecock, and (C) promote higher pattern density. This shell is compatible with all upland chokes, but if you use a modified you can reasonably expect to put about 80% of the 1-1/4 ounce shot column through a 30 inch circle at 40 yards.
