These Xtra-Lite 12 Gauge shells from Winchester use an excellent recipe for a balance in manageable recoil and notable terminal ballistics. Winchester builds these shells using high-strength hulls (which reloaders will love), premium grade primers and powder, and their AA wad. The AA wad design makes most efficient use of propellant gases in order to produce excellent muzzle velocity while also cushioning felt recoil for the shooter. These wads also use a petal design which carries the shot all the way to the end of the barrel where they begin a controlled release which tightens patterns and extends range for hunting and skeet shooting.

Each of these shotshells has a 2-3/4 inch length for use in a wide range of 12 gauge shotguns and contains 1 ounce of #8 lead shot. The shot is hardened for deeper penetration into upland game birds like pheasants and doves as well as for more effective hits on clay pigeons.
