This 12 Gauge target ammunition by Winchester is something special. It meets specifications for international skeet shooting, hence its extremely light shot column relative to its gauge. (To be sure, 24 grams of shot equals a tiny bit less than 7/8 ounces, but we can’t very well start using the metric system now or else the American way of life might be in even greater jeopardy than it already is.)



Those are eensy shot pellets – #9 lead, which is why one trigger squeeze sends approximately 495 of the things downrange. And it’ll send them in an awful hurry, because this shell’s muzzle velocity is abnormally high for a target load at 1,330 fps. That’s the benefit of going lighter: an easier time chasing down fast-moving targets.



This shell’s shot pellets pattern with extraordinary due efficiency. They are round, rigid enough to remain that way while they’re jerked into motion, and cupped by a hinged wad which compacts under pressure so as to minimize the shot’s exposure to the sudden force of recoil.
