Whether you work in law enforcement or simply want to see what less-lethal ammo is all about, this 12 Gauge shell by Sellier & Bellot is worth your time and money.This shell is loaded with an unconventional projectile: one rubber ball, which is 17.5 mm (0.69”) in diameter. Loaded to a muzzle velocity of 886 fps, it’s not poised to inflict very much damage to its target. Incidentally, this shotshell generates only very little recoil – making it a great choice if you want to start teaching a youngster how to handle a 12 Gauge.
Here comes the safety warning. Just like its name implies, less-lethal ammunition is still capable of inflicting a mortal injury. The second rule of firearm safety still applies while you are firing this ammo: Never let the muzzle cover anything you are not willing to destroy. Rubber ball ammo is also inadvisable for training with steel targets for precisely the reason you might imagine!
