Make Fiocchi Golden Pheasant your hunting partner! This Missouri-made shotshell is perfect for putting the fear of the 12 Gauge into the pheasants and other upland game in your area.This isn’t a 2-3/4-incher. It’s a three-incher, which gives it the capacity to store a massive 1-3/4-ounce column of #5 shot. That’s about 298 individual pellets – we can’t say for certain because we aren’t sure just how much the shot’s nickel plating affects its overall weight. It can’t be by much.
Why is each shot pellet electroplated with nickel? Because that makes it harder, which poses two key performance advantages: less deformation that could impact pattern density during ignition, and more efficient penetration through feathers and whatever’s beneath them.
Fiocchi loads this ammo with clean-burning powder and hot-igniting primers, as well as reloadable high-brass tubes. Its normal muzzle velocity of 1,200 fps is supersonic and plenty powerful enough for hunting. So long as your shotgun has a 3” chamber, you should be golden!
